INTAC Announces Its ASPPA Certification For Retirement Plan Service Provider Excellence

After a rigorous review process, Intac Actuarial Services (INTAC) is proud to announce its CEFEX certification of the prestigious Service Provider Excellence in Standards of Practice for
Retirement Plan Service Providers. CEFEX (Centre for Fiduciary Excellence) provides an
independent recognition of a firm’s conformity to a defined Standard of Practice. It implies that a firm can demonstrate adherence to the industry’s best practices, as set forth by American
Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and is positioned to earn the public’s trust.

The ASPPA Standard of Practice describes how a third party administration (TPA)/actuarial firm can assist plan sponsors in fulfilling their fiduciary obligations. The Standard includes best practices for organization, human resources, operations, planning, systems and disclosure, as defined by a cross-industry task force and is modeled after the “Prudent Practices for
Investment Stewards” published by fi360, Inc. The stringent nearly one-year certification process, which involved a comprehensive assessment of the firm’s operational data, practices and procedures, culminated in a full-day, on-site engagement of interviews with INTAC’s key
employees by a CEFEX representative.

“The CEFEX certification provides assurance to fiduciaries and their stakeholders that INTAC has demonstrated adherence to the best practices in the recordkeeping and administration industry. The successful completion of the independent assessment is an extraordinary
indication of a firm’s accountability to its clients,” said CEFEX Managing Director Carol Panksep.

“It is with great pride that our team of outstanding pension professionals successfully fulfilled the rigorous requirements to achieve certification by the CEFEX organization. We are extremely honored to be the only New Jersey TPA/actuarial firm to achieve this prestigious designation,” said Charles Rosenberg, INTAC managing partner and a member of EO New Jersey.

For additional information on the certification program and CEFEX, please go to www.cefex.org. A full copy of the Standard of Practice and INTAC’s official certificate are also available on the website.

Intac Actuarial Services has been providing complete administration and consulting to
employer sponsored retirement plans since 1977. INTAC’s professional staff of experienced and innovative plan administrators designs, creates, and continually refines a wide range of
qualified retirement plans. We are committed to meeting our clients’ needs by providing these services in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner. INTAC has been recognized by NJBIZ as New Jersey’s Top Defined Contribution Provider for five consecutive years.  For more information, visit www.intacinc.com.

Countdown to Discover Atlantic City, The Odds Are in Your Favor: Sept. 27-29

Did you know that Discover is more than just a day of presentations by spectacular speakers delivering compelling content that will help you put the odds in your favor? On Friday, our program kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Then, at 2 p.m. you will have the opportunity for some inspiring interaction by becoming a member of the ad-hoc Forum Squared of your choice, each moderated by one of six EO member experts in areas where your actual forum might not have experience to share, but where you desperately need it. There will even be a Spousal Forum for your spouse to join so he or she can experience the exhilaration of EO Forum firsthand. Click here for a link to the Forum Squared topics.

The “EO 360 Experiences from the Edge” session at Nerve was one of the top rated sessions, even over all but one of the speakers. So at Discover we have our own session on Friday afternoon where you and your spouse will hear first-hand life-changing experiences from fellow EOers. At Nerve, the experience was riveting—standing room only. It’s an experience you should not miss.

Our “Mini-University Experience” takes place on Saturday with fantastic speakers, including keynotes Michael Allosso and Tom Searcy. Allosso has top ratings on the Vistage circuit with his interactive presentation on “You on Your Best Day,” where he compares the preparation, performance and role of an actor with that of the business leader. Appropriate for business and personal interactions, you and your spouse can reach a more vital and dynamic awareness of the excellence needed in the communications in every moment of every day. Searcy’s talk on “Unlocking Explosive Growth: Putting the Odds in Your Favor” will cover the five core aspects of targeting and landing large accounts to explosively grow your company. Searcy’s concepts have already inspired our own chapter president Alex Zaltsman to enact certain strategies in his business. Alex is very excited for us all to see Tom Searcy present in person.

Additional speakers and breakouts will help you add valuable strategic changes to your businesses. Spouses will join members on Saturday morning programming suitable for all, then will have the option of a parallel program in the afternoon if they are not interested in the hardcore business content. The social interaction, meeting your fellow New Jersey, New york, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. members to discuss these concepts, learning about their businesses, and just plain having fun will complement and enrich the Discover experience as a whole.

Put the odds in your favor, and join us at Discover. You can’t afford to miss this outstanding opportunity!
