EO New Jersey’s 2014 chapter retreat will be April 9-13 in Ireland. We will have “EO Access” to the people and places that define Ireland, including activities, food, music, history and the politics of the country.
April 10 | Day One
United will jet us on the night of April 9 direct to Dublin. Upon early morning arrival on April 10 at Brooks Hotel in the heart of Dublin, you can get some sleep and then off we will go. Dublin is a walking city and EO New Jersey will see the sights and learn about the rich heritage from its famous guides and storytellers. From its Parliament to churches, Trinity College to Temple Bar, you will see it all. The evening features a private tour of the Guinness Storehouse and dinner in one of Dublin’s exclusive venues with some of the coolest entrepreneurs in Dubline. After hours in the many local pubs.
April 11 | Day Two
Day Two is action packed and on the move. We start with breakfast in the countryside at the private residence of one of Ireland’s most famous entrepreneurs and TV personalities. We move on to New Grange – a Neolithic passage tomb from 3200BC – and then to see the oldest crosses in Ireland at Monasterboice. Lunch takes us to Ireland’s oldest licensed distillery – Kilbeggan Distillery – for a “liquid” lunch and special tour. The day will end in the oldest pub in Dublin – The Brazen Head for a true Irish experience with music, dancing and a traditional
April 12 | Day Three
Day Three is all about culture, sports and team play! Off we go to the playing fields in Dublin. Our Gaelic Athletic Association experience includes Hurling, Irish Football, Ceili dancing and Irish drumming. The afternoon will be free for you to explore, shop or enjoy people watching from a pub stool! Dinner is in the countryside at one of Ireland’s famous castles. The night would not be complete without an after hours pub crawl in Temple Bar.
April 13 | Day Four
We have an early A.M. wake up call and breakfast before heading out to the airport. One last shopping fix in the airport duty free and then we are on our way back to Newark. We will arrive midday in Newark.
The cost is $2,647 per person for double occupancy with an additional $500 supplemental charge for single occupancy. That includes round-trip airfare, hotel, food, transportation, tours and taxes. Travel insurance can be purchased at the time of payment.
