Frank Sorrentino is a true New Jersey success story. A graduate of Bergen Catholic and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Frank took over the family business, FSS Construction, a luxury home builder. In a tough economic market with no access to credit or capital, Frank took matters in his own hands and got together with a few other local investors to found Connect One Bank. In February 2013, Connect One Bank went public and was also voted the fastest growing bank in the U.S.
On Nov. 19, Frank hosted EO New Jersey at his headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., where he shared the intimate details about what motivated him to start the bank, how he raised the capital, dealt with the regulatory hurdles, built a solid team and eventually got to the $1.5 billion mark.
