SUMMARY:It Was All A Dream with David Lekach
DESCRIPTION:A story of ingenuity and perseverance with a happy ending- David will experience share his journey from the ideation of Dream Water\, a natural\, 2.5oz liquid sleep shot\, to the successful sale of the business and what life looks like post-sale. \nIn 2009\, David founded Dream Water\, a natural\, 2.5oz liquid sleep shot in Duane Reade stores across New York City. Almost 10-years later\, after growing the company to include retail and online distribution throughout the United States and Canada\, Dream Water attracted a $30-million+ acquisition offer. \nDavid will explore growing a company in a competitive field with limited financing options\, including innovative advertising strategies\, product line expansion\, and building a strong consumer base. Since the sale of his company David has spent his time advising other startups and small businesses to grow and expand as a shrewd results-driven business strategist. \nDavid’s experience share will provide key takeaways for all business owners as they grow and expand their own businesses.

SUMMARY:NJ Speed Connecting
DESCRIPTION:Come meet your fellow EONJ and learn more about what they do and how they do it. It is a great way to get connected to everyone in our community.\nAs Mark Cuban recently suggested\, talk to new people\, someone you haven’t talked to before. You never know where the next idea for innovation will come from…where the next “big idea” will come from \nEO New Jersey is hosting a special Zoom meeting called Speed Connecting. Participants will be placed into Break Out rooms meeting randomly selected participants and learning about each other’s businesses. \n\nWhat is your elevator pitch?\nWhat is your key differentiator?\nWho is your ideal client?\nWhat is your biggest opportunity?

SUMMARY:People's Improv Theater
DESCRIPTION:Join the People’s Improv Theater (PIT) for an evening improv workshop filled with fun\, laughter and valuable professional development tools!\nThe PIT’s Corporate Improv Workshops are rooted in our improv philosophy- saying ‘yes and’ to our teammates\, following the fear\, and actively supporting one another’s ideas. \nWith a unique combination of improvisation\, physical exercises\, games and critical thinking\, we guide and instruct teams to create better communicators\, listeners\, public speakers and team players in a fun\, safe and nurturing environment. In our workshops\, team members engage in improvisation exercises and games in an applied\, non-performance-based setting where participants get on their feet and out of their heads. The PIT’s corporate workshop environment sets a level playing field amongst team members by removing team participants from their comfort zone. When team members experience new\, fun\, and constructive improv games together\, teams come together in ways impossible to recreate outside of a theater. Most importantly\, our programs are FUN! \nAgenda \n2:30 – 5:00 – Event \n5:00 – 6:30 – Happy Hour

SUMMARY:1st Annual EONJ Tennis Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Tournament Sponsored by Glen Eagle and Withum\n4321 is a fun\, fast-paced doubles game with a number of twists\, including team competition\, rotating partners\, and bonus scoring. \nPlayers are organized into teams of 3 to 4 members\, and over the course of the competition the teams compete for highest overall score. \nEach round is a game to 100 points. Play starts with 2 players from each team facing each other doubles-style on the baseline. A pro running the court feeds the ball and the rally begins. Please note players do not serve the ball in 4321. Teams will be created with players of mixed ability levels (when you register please let us know your ability level from the list below). The object is to not only win the rally\, but to do so in such a way as to maximize the point value of the win. Generally\, the more aggressive you are\, the more points a win is worth. \n· A simple miss (hitting ball in the net or out of the doubles court) scores 1 point for the winner. \n· Win the point on a volley is worth 2 points. \n· Overhead winner = 3 points. \n· Clean winner of any sort (opponent doesn’t touch the ball) is 4 points. \n· Also a bonus of a 6 pointer will begiven for a volley clean winner. \n· A bonus of 7 points will be given for an overhead winner. \n· Additionally\, bonus points are available. If the ball hits the net during a shot and you win\, an additional point goes to the winner’s value. \nAfter each rally\, both sides rotate players so that everyone is involved. \nLuckily\, you don’t have to keep all this straight: Your pro will keep track of the score\, you just concentrate on hitting the ball\, encouraging your teammates and having fun. \nGet ready to get your 4321 on! \nGeneral Characteristics of the Different Playing Levels \n1.5 \nThis player has limited experience and is still working primarily on getting the ball into play. \n2.0 \nThis player needs on-court experience. This player has obvious stroke weaknesses but is familiar with basic positions for singles and doubles play. \n2.5 \nThis player is learning to judge where the ball is going although court coverage is weak. Can sustain a short rally of slow pace with other players of the same ability. \n3.0 \nThis player is fairly consistent when hitting medium paced shots\, but is not comfortable with all strokes and lacks execution when trying for directional control\, depth\, or power. Most common doubles formation is one-up\, one-back. \n3.5 \nThis player has achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots\, but still lacks depth and variety. This player exhibits more aggressive net play\, has improved court coverage\, and is developing teamwork in doubles. \n4.0 \nThis player has dependable strokes\, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots\, plus the ability to use lobs\, overheads\, approach shots and volleys with some success. This player occasionally forces errors when serving. Rallies may be lost due to impatience. Teamwork in doubles is evident. \n4.5 \nThis player has begun to master the use of power and spins and is beginning to handle pace\, has sound footwork\, can control depth of shots\, and is beginning to vary game plan according to opponents. This player can hit first serves with power and accuracy and place the second serve. This player tends to over hit on difficult shots. Aggressive net play is common in doubles. \n5.0 \nThis player has good shot anticipation and frequently has an outstanding shot or attribute around which a game may be structured. This player can regularly hit winners or force errors off of short balls and can put away volleys\, can successfully execute lobs\, drop shots\, half volleys\, overhead smashes\, and has good depth and spin on most 2nd serves. \n5.5 \nThis player has developed power and/or consistency as a major weapon. This player can vary strategies and styles of play in a competitive situation and hits dependable shots in a stress situation. \n6.0 to 7.0 \nThe 6.0-player typically has had intensive training for national tournament competition at the junior and collegiate levels and has obtained a sectional and/or national ranking. The 7.0-player is a world class player. \nTournament Sponsored by Glen Eagle and Withum \n4321 is a fun\, fast-paced doubles game with a number of twists\, including team competition\, rotating partners\, and bonus scoring. \nPlayers are organized into teams of 3 to 4 members\, and over the course of the competition the teams compete for highest overall score. \nEach round is a game to 100 points.
