In business, relationships are key. No relationship is more important to today’s entrepreneur than the one they have with their bankers. The pandemic proved that those with close banking relationships could find funding and extend the credit needed to keep their businesses running.

Our key contacts from M&T will discuss what products and services we as entrepreneurs should have at our banks and how we can leverage these relationships to take our businesses to the next level.

About the speakers:

Keron Myers is an experienced banking professional with over 23 years in the industry. He is currently a VP – Relationship Manager in the Business and Professional Banking division of M&T Bank. Keron has work in several senior positions in other major banks in the tri-State and is in his 5th year with M&T. He has received several awards over the years that includes Business Excellence, President’s Club, Chairman’s Club and Million Dollar Club.

Keron has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Empire State College and Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. He is married with 2 children and enjoys cooking and has a goal of transitioning his culinary skills into his own restaurant the near future. Keron is intentional about impacting his community and as such is looking to start his non-profit foundation, named after his daughter Olivia, derived from a need he identified over the years as a banker. The goal of his non-profit is to close the gap pertaining to financial literacy that has significantly impacted people of color over the years. Keron’s passion to serve his clients is equally matched his advocacy for their needs. Keron is a fervent believer that there is no elevator to success we must take the stairs.

Melissa Geiger has been the financial industry since 2006 starting her career with Commerce Bank and was part of the merger to what is now knows as TD. After a successful and rapid career growth she moved to M&T bank and has had several leadership positions. Melissa joined the business banking team as a Relationship Manager/Vice President in March of 2019 Melissa serves on a multitude of boards in the Morris County area. She is currently serves on the board for EANJ for the past 4 years & has graduated from Leadership Morris a program that they are hand selected and completed the course work in 2020. She currently serves on the leadership alumni committee and an ambassador for the chamber and will be the lead chair in 2023. She is a well-known in her community b/c of her involvement in both Non-profit & community events and being passionate about what M&T can do.
