Weathering the Storm and Rebuilding after Scandal! (EO Raleigh Durham’s Signature Event)
March 9 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
On March 9th, join EO Raleigh Durham for their Signature Event Weathering the Storm and Rebuilding after Scandal at The Cotton Room in downtown Durham from 1pm to 7pm.
You may have heard of Amanda Knox from her Netflix documentary, which documents the process of her being exonerated after being convicted of murdering her Italian roommate.
In this afternoon of learning we’ll start with a workshop from top Duke professor Dr. Bryan Sexton on Bite-sized Wellbeing in Times of Uncertainty — The Science of Wellness. Well-being has never been more important, and new evidence-based well-being resources have never been more impressive.
Then for our keynote talk, we’ll hear the real-life, stranger than fiction story of Amanda Knox. Amanda was falsely convicted of murdering her roommate and was later exonerated by the Italian Supreme Court. That victory didn’t restore her damaged reputation, and she found herself forever battling a false image of her, her evil doppelganger, Foxy Knoxy. Every day since, she has fought to reclaim her identity, and to find meaning in those stolen years and unjust incarceration.
After Amanda’s talk, join us for a social with hors d’oeuvres and drinks!
